The biggest piece of hitting successful overheads stems from a court position that places you a potentially offensive setting in the chance that you are lobbed. The grip is really a hybrid grip between continental and eastern forehand, as applying spin is not necessary. Preparation should be brief and effective in both getting the body sideways and priming the racquet in a quarter-back-esque position. One should incorporate a running backward step or even a crossover step in order to most effectively get in position under the ball.
