Epicondylitis is also called the tennis player’s injury. It is probably the most common injury among many others. Todd Ellenbecker demonstrates exercises and stretches that will strengthen and prevent elbow injuries.


Tip:
Tennis is a demanding sport that uses many parts of our bodies and for this reason tennis players deal with injuries all the time. One of the most common injuries is epicondylitis, also known as tennis elbow mainly because it is a tennis-specific injury. We use our dominant arm in all strokes and place a lot of stress on the elbow and forearm muscles. 

In order to prevent this injury or rehabilitate an already-injured arm, players should strengthen the forearm muscles. There are several recommended exercises that emphasize low resistance, light weights and high repetition sets. The following video explains how to implement these exercises in your tennis program, before and after practice, to prevent injuries or rehabilitate faster.
