Description: Former ATP player Jeff Salzenstein talks about the benefits of using the platform stance on the serve. Check out this drill he has for you.

Tip:

There are several components that go into a solid serve technique: grip, stance, toss, backswing, power position, loading, slot, forward swing, contact point, follow through and landing. Each element pays a significant role into the execution of a serve and is strongly connected to the other, like a domino effect.

This week we’re going to focus on the stance: whether keeping your feet apart by using what is known as a platform stance or bringing the back foot up into a pin point stance, the loading aspect is crucial. Check out former ATP player and USPTA Elite Professional Jeff Salzenstein discussing the benefits of using a platform stance.
