Description: Here are a few tips on how to make your drills effective during practice.

Tip:

We all use drills and games each and every day in our lessons and clinics. Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind to make the drills beneficial so that our students get the most out of them:

  • Warm up
  • Progress to drills
  • Communicate drill efficiently
  • Be aware of court safety
  • Make each game realistic
  • Feed balls specific to angle and court positioning
  • Create pressure situations
  • Encourage scoring
  • Have consequences
  • Explain the purpose of each drill
  • Have fun
